The skill-tree system has apparently been in the works since before the game’s launch in November 2022.
Every five levels, players can choose one perk out of three options for that specific level milestone.
That system will be done away with come October.
Instead, players will receive a skill point every time they level up.
The other two branches will feature new abilities, giving each class more playstyles to choose from.
The game currently holds a 74 onMetacriticand a “Mixed” user review rating onSteam.
“We worked so intensely with it, and we experimented a lot,” De Geer said.
But we felt they hadn’t reached a quality we needed to be in the game.
That is part of why we still felt that we need to do this.
Everyone on the team wanted to do this.
We felt this would improve the game a lot.
