The long-awaited sequel hits theaters on May 27.
“That’s not going to happen,” said Cruise.
According to Variety, that statement from Cruise was met with “loud applause.”
Cruise then added, “I’ve spent a lot of time with theater owners.
Just know we are making Mission: Impossible, and Top Gun is coming out.”
Said Cruise, “I make movies for the big screen.”
They were originally scheduled to film concurrently, but COVID also has long since complicated those plans.
