The series is currently in development and was announced Wednesday during Warner Bros.
Discovery’s unveiling of the Max streaming platform.
According to Warner Bros., this new Conjuring series will continue the established story already in the feature films.
Producer Peter Safran is attached to executive produce the series via his Safran Company banner.
Director and creator of the series James Wan is in talks to also executive produce.
Wan’s Atomic Monster Productions is steering the project alongside Warner Bros. Television.
The two assumed their new roles back in November with the slate of projects revealed earlier in January.
This announcement was just one of several projects unveiled during the presentation.
This new Conjuring series will be joined by Matt Reeves’The Penguin, with anotherGame of Thrones spin-offdown the road.
The next installment, The Nun 2, will be released on September 8, 2023.
