Square Enix provided its first developer comment.
He answered, “Development is progressing smoothly and according to plan.
We are currently working on nailing down a release date for the game.”
Final Fantasy VII Rebirthwas announced last year and seems to be a PlayStation 5 exclusive.
At the time, Square Enix didn’t provide an exact release date, but it mentioned Winter 2023.
Co-director Motomu Toriyama hinted that Rebirth’s timeline coulddeviate even further from the original’s as well.
The upgraded Intergrade version for PS5 was released in 2021.
