Clarkson (Succession, Dexter) will direct a script from Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless (Morbius).
He also has recently wrapped production onthe Party Down revival series.
Sony also been moving forward on another long-rumored Spider-man project, Kraven The Hunter.
Earlier this year,Russell Crowe joined the movie in an undisclosed role.
Kraven the Hunter is currently scheduled to hit theaters on January 13, 2023.
