Johansson has now responded to this report, saying Black Widow is dead and is unlikely to come back.

I think it was the end.
She passed,” Johansson toldTodayof Black Widow’s death in Avengers: Endgame.
“It would be a miracle.
It would be a real Marvel miracle.
It would be a marvel.”
But Johansson is not closing the door entirely on potentially returning to the Marvel universe someday.
“But, who knows?”
In April this year, Johansson said she was"done"with Marvel.
In 2024, Marvel is releasingjust one film–Deadpool 3.
However, this has yet to be officially announced.
