Amazon originallyannounced that ads would come to Prime Video back in 2023, but now the day has come.
As of January 29, Prime Video now shows ads during movies and TV programming.
Users can get around the ads by spending $3/more per month.
Prime memberships are staying the same ($15/month or $140/year).
For comparison, Max’s ad-free option costs $16/month and Netflix’s ad-free tier costs $15.50/month.
Prime Video will host the upcoming adaptations of Fallout and God of War.
