Microsoft hired more than 75,000 people since 2019 and is now scaling back.

A spokesperson for Microsoft declined to comment about if the layoffs affected Xbox when approached by GameSpot.
Bloomberg’s Jason Schrier noted that several employees indicated Halo Infinite developer “343 Industries was hit hard.”
Nadella said he is confident that Microsoft will “emerge from this stronger and more competitive.”
Nadella described the job cuts as “difficult, but necessary.”
This applies to Microsoft workers in the US.
Affected workers outside the US will receive benefits aligned with local employment laws.
