Gunn says he has not spoken to Robbie “for a long time.”
“I haven’t talked to Margot about Harley for a long time.
But I’d love to work with her again as Harley or as someone else.
She added: “Harley’s so fun and can go in so many different directions.
The options are endless.”
Robbie played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, and The Suicide Squad.
Lady Gaga is taking over the role for this year’s Joker sequel, which releases in October.
Writing, however, has been finished “for a while,” Gunn said.
He also discussed Peacemaker Season 2, saying it’s"over halfway written.”
