According toDeadline, Alcock edged out CODA’s Emilia Jones and Zombies star Meg Donnelly for the part.
Before that, she starred in the Australian series Upright.
It’s unknown when Alcock will first be seen on the silver screen as Supergirl.

There have been rumblings about Supergirl appearing in Superman Legacy.
Superman Legacy will kick off the new DC universe theatrically when it premieres July 11, 2025.
