Big news today for Game of Thrones fans.
HBO has announced that House of the Dragon Season 2 will debut in “early summer” 2024.
However, press were forbidden from talking about what they saw,according to Variety.
This date could change, though, pending the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
The scripts were completed prior to the beginning of filming.
Showrunner Ryan Condal served as a producer only, and was on set.
House of the Dragon premiered in August 2022 and was a big success for HBO.
It’s also been confirmed that Season 2 will have eight episodes compared to 10 for Season 1.
Another high-profile HBO show set for a second season is The Last of Us.
However, filming remains paused due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.
Season 2 wasset for release in 2025, but that was prior to the strike.
