Homeworld 3 was originally revealed as part of a crowdfunding campaign on Fig, spearheaded by Gearbox Publishing.
When Embracer Group acquired Gearbox in 2021, the crowdfunding portion ceased, but the project continued development.
Although originally scheduled for 2022, Homeworld 3 is now set to launch in the first half of 2023.
