The Harry Potter star takes on his greatest challenge in portraying the comedic legend.
“Weird Al” Yankovic has released a teaser trailer from his upcoming biopic.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is slated for a fall 2022 release on The Roku Channel.
First announcedback in January, the movie is a partnered production between Roku and Funny or Die.
It stars Daniel Radcliffe as “Weird Al,” though no additional cast has yet been announced.
Appel also helmed the Funny or Die short about “Weird” Al over 10 years ago.

“And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film.
I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”
He’s also guest-starred in countless animated programs and sitcoms becoming a pop culture icon along the way.
