Currently, Ridley is the only confirmed cast member to return for the film.
But in a new interview, Ridley expressed her desire to see John Boyega make a comeback as Finn.
“Absolutely, of course,” replied Ridley.
“It feels like we should, yeah.”
In 2020, Boyega vented about his character’s diminished presence on Variety’sThe Big Ticket podcast.
“Let’s be honest.
I’m not exposing anything.”
Boyega struck a more conciliatory tone in a 2023 interview withTechRadarafter Ridley’s new film was announced.
And he seemed more open to the idea of reprising his role as Finn.
Rey’s untitled Star Wars film will be directed by by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
It doesn’t currently have a release date.
