“Basically, I’m an adult now,” she said.
“I certainly did not feel like an adult at the time.
Ridley played Rey in The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker.
Like with many big franchises, people had a lot of opinions about the story and filmmaking.
For Ridley, though, she says she feels joy and is excited to come back to Star Wars.
“There’s just a lot of joy with me and these films,” she said.
“Honestly, if I wasn’t excited, I wouldn’t have done it.
It feels like a great thing to be a part of.”
She said she was “curious about it all.”
Coming back to play Rey again was not a tough call, Ridley said.
She signed on for another film despite knowing there would inevitably be backlash and discourse to some degree.
“Why wouldn’t I [do it]?
This new film won’t be here anytime soon, though.
