New weapons and operator
Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2 will introduce five weapons to the game.
The Ronin operator from Modern Warfare 2019 also returns as the battle pass operator for the season.
The event will include seven challenges to be completed in Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2.
For the standard maps, Dome is returning to multiplayer.
New modes
As previously announced, Call of Duty’s Hardcore multiplayer mode will be returning.
Treyarch’s competitive Ranked Play mode is also arriving in Season 2.
Ranked Play will follow the Call of Duty League’s CDL-approved rules, restrictions, maps, and modes.
Call of Duty’s classic Infected mode is arriving with the launch of Season 2.
Every player eliminated joins the Infected team until none remain or until time limit is reached.
Modern Warfare 2 is adding some classic party modes for Season 2.
New co-op Raid episode
Players can expect a brand-new Raid episode.
Weapon tuning and perk balancing were also announcedfor Season 2 of Modern Warfare 2.
Bug fixes and quality-of-life changes are also expected.
