It stars Georgina Campbell, Bill Skarsgard, and Justin Long, directed by Zach Cregger.
Barbarian is the second solo directorial feature that he also wrote himself.
He’s already at work on his next project.
The writer/director spoke withBloody Disgusting’sThe Boo Crew podcast and told them he’ll be making back-to-back horror movies.
“I’m writing a horror [movie] right now,” Cregger said.
“It’s way more ambitious than Barbarian.
It’s way weirder… and I don’t know if I’m gonna pull it off.”
“I’m like 65 pages in.
I know how it ends, I just can’t get the beginning to link up to the ending.
So I don’t know if I’m gonna pull it off or not.”
He describes the project as being a Batman-adjacent thing.
“I wrote it and I’m utterly obsessed with it.
So one day, I want to make that.”
