The game looks like it will feature two protagonists.
The leaked cover features a black male samurai named Yasuke and a female shinobi named Naoe.
He was the lone survivor, being rescued and brought to Japan.
There, he took up learning the art of the samurai under Nobunga.
While there weren’t many details about Naoe, apparently she starts off as Yasuke’s enemy.
However, they eventually become allies so that reunify Japan.
The series has been known to include real-life historical figures.
The full reveal for the game airs on May 15 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET.
