The altars can also be hidden behind breakable objects or inside buildings as well.
Some Altars are also located insideStrongholds, which serve as tough over world dungeons.

What do the Altars of Lilith do?
Collecting an Altar of Lilith in Diablo 4 provides two types of benefits.
Finding an Altar of Lilith also provides 10Region Renown.
Each region has its own Renown, with five tiers of rewards provided at different amounts of total renown.
